Spandex are the Best

0 footprints

Yesterday was a light workout.

We had an easy fartlek. 3 segments of 5 min hard 3 min easy

The hard wasn’t supposed to be extremely fast, just pick it up faster than a regular training run.

I only had 3 miles to do so it worked out.

3.1 Miles in 23:51 [7:41 per mile]

7:45
7:45
7:39
0:40

I don’t have the splits for our on and off just our overall run.

Thoughts during the run:

  1. AH it’s raining and cold!
  2. I feel like I just got out of the pool.
  3. My shirt is completely stuck to me, it is that soaked.
  4. This workout isn’t bad at all.
  5. YAY we are almost done.

Then we had core set I and II

Look what I got to run in!!

Don’t pay attention to how tired I look. Thanks Smile

I got my spandex from Val’s Customized and absolutely LOVE them!!

I can’t wait to order more!

Fartlek’s are Better Than Tempos, but Still Suck

0 footprints

Ah, no post yesterday because I was with my family!! Buying out Whole Foods, ya know?

Well friday’s workout was rather fun…not. It sucked and was awful.

Warmup: 1 mile

Workout:

  • Fartlek: 5 min, 4, 3, 2, 1:30, 1, 30sec (each interval getting faster)
  • in between each interval was half recovery jog.
  • So: 2:30min, 2, 1:30, 1, 45sec, 30sec, done

Cool down: 1 mile run and 1 mile elliptical

total mileage for the day: 6.5 miles

Thoughts for the run:

  1. It is insanely hot in here
  2. There are a lot of people here
  3. There must be an activities class in here today
  4. They are pretending to fish?
  5. I hope they aren’t staring at me while I run
  6. This is embarrassing
  7. My legs hurt from the indoor track
  8. Whoops, started too soon. I still get 30 more seconds of recovery.
  9. Thank goodness this is almost over
  10. DONE! PRAISE THE RUNNING GODS!

Now at this point in time I should be doing my 7 mile long run while you are reading this post, or at least at the time I published this post.

However, I am not sure where I am meeting my teammate yet and I am writing this at 10:55pm about to go to bed.

Guess I will find out in the morning (which is actually your current time)!!

P.S I like to post really attractive pictures of myself Smile enjoy!

Also, it’s really confusing preparing posts for the next day because this one I am trying to tell you my situation but yet tomorrow when you are reading this, it will have all worked out. Don’t get confused! It will all be okay!! Promise!

Stay tuned for the winner of the giveaway later today!

P1210011
So out of pure boredom:
  1. we started throwing cards into a bowl from up on my bed.
  2. then moved to the floor and added a small bowl.
  3. then a mug to make it harder
Yes, those two in the mug are mine. Smile But that was my only good round.
P1210012
At 11:00pm last night we really craved chocolate milk and were bored.
So we headed to Walmart.
Obstacles getting in the way:
  • Having to clean the snow off my car
  • Having to scrape the ice off my car
  • Frozen hands
  • Getting all the way to Brent’s dorm and realizing he left his keys in mine.
At about 11:45 we make it to Walmart.
In search of:
  • Fun games
  • puzzles
  • chocolate milk
  • composition book I need for chemistry
Then we went back and started the above puzzle at 12:30am and finished around 2:50am.
**We are currently working on puzzle 2/10

Bought this watch yesterday from my Amazon Shop.

image

$26.35, with shipping it’s about $33 dollars. Apparently the retail price is $119.00

It was an incredible deal for a timex 75 lap memory recall watch.

It’s also titanium.

I bought it because I need a watch to race with since you can’t run with your Garmin.

I’ll let you know how I like it! :D

Swallowed Bugs..ew

4 footprints

breakfast2

P7190005

Hopefully you don’t mind that I reuse this picture. I had another clif z bar.

Was all ready to go bike riding…but then, realized I still needed to air up my tires. Alex has our pump that works on my valves so I was without a pump! Went to momentum bikes but they didn’t have the presta valve adaptors I needed.

Therefore, no bike ride.

lunch2

P7220017

Mixed berries, lots of spinach, and sunny D.

P7220014

I made tuna casserole for lunch. It’s really easy.

Preheat oven to 350*
Boil water then add elbow macaroni – cook for about 7 minutes
In a casserole dish add:
- 1 can drained tuna
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 block/box of cream cheese

Then you mix it all together and add the noodles when they are done. Mix in some salt and pepper and then for some crunch add potato chips on top (we didn’t have any so we had to do without today) and then bake for 30 minutes just to get everything melted and hot.

Easy peasy and delicious!

snacks

P7230021

Snacked on these throughout the day..had about 4. Sue me.
